Always bold, entertaining and visually ambitious, he’s plied his craft to Moulin Rouge, in a sumptuous tale about a poet, who falls madly in love with a much coveted Parisian courtesan.
Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor star in this grandiose and spectacular musical romance drama, delivering starry-eyed performances in a knowingly lavish, over-the-top and indulgent musical. Artful, even if garish at times, the emotional core of Moulin Rouge keeps this outlandish and original tale moving and within reach.
