Spling’s Galileo Pick of the Week: Up
Up is one of those near-perfect animated adventure comedies that continues to delight. Colourful characters, an imaginative tale, a smart screenplay, dazzling animation and a strong voice cast make it soar. As if trying to capture the spirit of adventure established by its unlikely buddy team and balloon escape, Up continues to enthrall with an emotionally resonant story that seems to get funnier and funnier.
There is no limit to the amount of good-natured, silly fun to be had in this warm and enjoyable fantasy caper. The relationship between 68-year-old Carl Fredricksen and young Russell is something truly special that gently nudges its way into your heart.
