Inception is the ultimate heist film, executed with such precision that it’s difficult to fault. Breathtakingly beautiful visuals, a stellar ensemble, a deep-seated elegance, an ominous soundtrack and visionary direction combine almost seamlessly. Nolan commands the fine balance between blockbuster and art house, the real and the unreal that holds the plot taut as three movie climaxes reach the apex simultaneously.
Surreal visuals are embedded like a Russian nesting doll as one layer slips into a deeper level of consciousness to reveal another. Inception and quite frankly most of Christopher Nolan’s films deserve repeat viewings and a place in your top 100 movie list.
